Tree of life foundation's sustainable support mission via endowment and donor-advised fund platform

SAAD is owned by the Tree of Life Foundation, a registered Public Benefit Organisation in South Africa. The foundation's main goal is to create an endowment fund to support qualifying charities in South Africa and Africa in the long term.

These charities often face difficulties in long-term planning and undertaking lengthier projects due to irregular and short-term funding. To solve this, TOL invests funds in a way that allows roughly 2.5% of the capital base to be distributed annually to a number of chosen charities, NGOs, and ministries according to the Tree of Life deed.

The foundation offers its expertise, systems, and structures to donors in South Africa and abroad through a donor-advised fund platform. By donating to TOL through this platform, donors can retain advisory privileges on how their donations are invested and which charities should ultimately benefit, leading to significant cost and tax savings, and more efficient and effective support for charities.

Want to donate to the Tree of Life Foundation?

The donation form is divided into three sections: donor information, donation detail, and agreement. The donor information section requires the donor to provide personal information such as the name, ID and contact information.

This information is necessary to process the donation and keep the donor informed of the foundation's activities. In the donation detail section, the donor specifies the amount of the donation, payment method, and investment choice.

The donor can decide whether to manage the donation as short-term, medium-term, long-term, or a combination thereof. The bank account details for making the payment are also provided in this section.

The final section, Agreement, requires the donor to sign the form, indicating that they agree to the terms and conditions outlined on separate pages.

This form is intended for donors who want to use the Tree of Life Foundation's donor-advised fund platform to make donations and provides the necessary information for processing their contributions.
